Ultimate Vegas Style.
Las Vegas.
When I hear Vegas, I automatically think of: Glitz. Glamour. Vibrancy. Decadence. Indulgence. And of course, Lady Luck. In short, the things that give the city so much life that it's one of the places to visit. (Some of my friends have said as much!) I haven't had the opportunity yet, but Vegas.com has given me a chance to at least imagine myself luxuriating in the city. In style. Inspired by one of the top-notch resorts that their site offers. I had to go for it because yeah, it involves two of my favorite things: traveling and planning outfits for said travel. It's something that's always fun and I can't get enough of. (Even imaginary ones!)
The tricky part is choosing which of the resorts to live it up in. There's just so many to choose from and each offers a wide variety of different entertainment and experiences this city has to offer. But in the end, I had to go with The Venetian. The old world style always tugs something in me and I can't choose any other. And it's the Venetian. So enough said.
Beginning at the pool is what I had in mind. With three pools and one hot tub, and cabanas that are fully stocked for your comfort, I don't know what better way to start the day. Imagining my friends and I lounging around the pool deck as we partake in a light breakfast and just soak it all in.
I kept things simple but still edgy. I don't think I'll ever not make my outfits edgy. And of course, black is still the predominant color when it comes to my style. So this is my take on an edgy, no-fuss style for a much sought-after relaxation. And a dip in the pool.
I'd imagine we'll have a late lunch. After lying around and doing nothing but just marvel at the luxury (It is a vacation, after all.). DB Brasserie would be a great choice.
I admit, I may have had a sort of theme in mind here. Royalty. Because that's most probably what I'd feel like if I had the opportunity to spend my vacation in such a resort. So I went with a long cover-up, reminiscent of the decadent long robes from ancient times. What empresses and queens would be swathed in. And gave it a little modern twist. A bit dramatic for most people, maybe. But I've always had a thing for those garments and it's Vegas!
Dinner at the B&B Ristorante would be the perfect cap to a day. Maybe after a spa session in the afternoon. (This vacation is spoiling me!) Good wine, great friends, fantastic conversation and of course all dressed up.
I've always wanted to wear an outfit like this. But it's so hard to find something that fits like a glove. I'm still on the lookout, of course! For now, I'll imagine myself in this edgy chic ensemble. And the usual splash of colors. Even though black makes such an impact all by itself, playing a bit with colors is always fun.
And that's my spin on the ultimate Vegas outfits.
It's easy to get inspired by the luxurious interiors of The Venetian. You might not want to leave its premises. But of course, it only offers a slice of what the city has in store. But outfits for venturing out into the city are another matter. Maybe next time it won't be all in my head! As evidenced by this little post, I find myself wanting to plan a little trip to this exciting city. If and when the stars align. Maybe it's the same for you. If so, I know Vegas.com has everything one needs.
Here's to hoping Lady Luck is on our side.

No Method to My Madness.
I have green hair! Or teal or maybe gray? Haha. Some of my friends pointed that out. The point is I've finally seen myself with colored hair. Yeah, I've never really taken the plunge to just dye my hair. It's a combination of my laziness (To someone who's been so used to the wash and wear routine, I don't really relish the idea of giving that up. Hehe.) and practicality that ensured it. Maintaining colored hair really is a lot of work. You have to contend with dry hair and of course, we can't totally dismiss this: damaged hair. I'd like to shield my hair from that fate for a little while more.
So: hair chalk! The wonder that is hair chalk! It's a gift for people who isn't necessarily ready to commit to colored hair but is still much up for being a little adventurous. I've been toying with the idea of trying it out for a while and now I finally have! It's about time. Hair chalk's been around for some time. Got mine from @diybeautyshop on Instagram! And well, for a first try, I haven't totally botched it up. Just slightly, maybe. Haha! Remember I lean towards the wash and wear routine more.
It looked fairly easy when I watched the videos on YouTube. So when I've started, I'm like "Oh, I gots this!" to "Nope, nope, nope." Needless to say, my bathroom survived the incident. Maybe it was pretty ambitious to try coloring all of it. Lesson learned. Haha! But anyway, the end result wasn't all that tragic, so I was pretty happy.
At least I wasn't trailing chalk dust everywhere I went. Haha! Will I try this again? Definitely. Although I'd just do streaks from now on. It was really loads of fun!

Thank you, Clozette.
Clozette sure knows how to spoil a girl. Very thankful for the opportunity of attending Manila Fashion Festival held last March at the Green Sun. Was able to go to just two of the four nights but it was a blast. Such an array of dazzling pieces from our very much loved local designers. It's hard to pick a favorite!
And then there's the Clozette K-party last April 18! Got to meet the new batch of Clozette Ambassadors. So happy the Clozette family is growing and still can't believe I have the pleasure of being part of it!
With a newfound friend, Anne Pinero.

We're all mad here.
We're all mad here. But in a fun way of course! And I think that madness seeps into our fashion, no?
This candy wrapper clutch has seen the light of day again! Haha. It's still my baby.
New sweater top I got from Hong Kong. Which they actually got from Korea. I really need (need) to go back to Seoul and drool over their clothes and fashion. Every fashionholic, stylephile, stylista, fashionista should definitely go there.
I know not all are fans of the sock and sandal look. But hey, I have an excuse. I'm mad, right? It's all in good fun.

Warrior.
Clothes are my armor. Super love this poncho jacket I got from Hong Kong in a shop in Island Beverly. (Located in Causeway Bay near Sogo). That place seriously is everything. My favorite place to shop. If only I can buy everything in the building... But prices sometimes are a bit steep, but the quality is just superb.
When you're loving what you are wearing, they better be looking.

Unprecedented.
Trying out this thing called color. As evident by most of my OOTDs, the predominant palette of my outfits are black, white, gray. And wow, I never thought I'd ever buy a floral skirt but this just screamed for my attention. Hehe! I like surprises in my wardrobe!

Black & White is a color.
I'm sensing a recurring theme in my latest OOTDs. Haha! As Lego Movie Batman once said, "I only work in black. And sometimes very, very dark grey."

Dark Romance.
Lace equals romantic. I love the softness of it. That fragile quality. I have a bit of an interest in the Victorian era. (Or maybe it's just because of the historical romance novels I've read and loved. Ssshh.) But the fashion in those times. The romanticism of it all! But for me what makes it work all the more is if there's just that touch of dark whimsy. That edginess that clashes with it and yet makes all the sense in the world. (Steampunk comes to mind.) It's why I love anything Alexander McQueen. All is right in the world with their creations.

A day of casualness with a little attitude. I know they say statement tees are definitely out this year. But I'm queen of fucking everything, so.... Lol.

1988.
A little inspiration from the ultimate girlcrush! None other than Emma Stone, of course. That tuxedo-inspired Dior dress! Perfection. Too bad Dior is a little out of reach for me. Haha! So I will have to make do with combining pieces I already have in my closet. The blazer I got from Hong Kong is Korean-made. They really do make perfect blazers! And I've really gotten a lot of mileage out of this Zara sheer skirt. Decided to pair the outfit with this Melissa + Karl Lagerfeld jelly shoes. I honestly never gravitated towards jelly shoes. Never thought I'd ever own a pair. But this pair I just had to have. That's Karl Lagerfeld's awesome power for you.
What do you think? Though I fervently wish next time I'll be able to have the real thing? Haha!

Sugar.
Sugar, yes please! Haha! Sooooo addicted to the song "Sugar" by Maroon 5 lately. LSS to the extreme. Could kinda fit my recent OOTD? I'm craving for some milkshake! Anyways, another black & white with a little blue outfit. Featuring this Jaspal skirt and the book clutch once more! I love giving a new look using the same pieces. Super love the shoes I got from Charles & Keith! Men's shoes are a slight obsession of mine. But it pinches a bit at the back after walking for a while. It happens. No matter, I still love them!
I'm browsing/shopping on Zalora's site right now! Got a few items I would love to have. (A few? Uh-huh!) Just not sure about the sizes... But thankfully there's a 30-day return policy. For free!! Yay. Anyways, fingers crossed!

"Today I don't feel like doing anything..." That was my jam that day so I threw on a top, jeans and this oversized jacket I got from Hong Kong. My utter love for oversized jackets can't be stopped! Haha! And also, desperately trying to hold on to the sweater weather that I'm sure will soon be over.

The Art of Pop.
Well, no, I don't much like black and white. Haha! First post of 2015! (I fell off the internet for a while there.) I want to greet everyone a Happy New Year! God, time sure flies by so fast! We started the year right by having a belated New Year's celebration at Chef Jessie Rockwell. Truly a recommended restaurant. We were so happy with our meal! Their chocolate souffle is just yum! We just had to order another one!
We were waging a losing battle against the wind so I had to hide in this corner. Haha! Love this skirt from Jaspal! Super classy! With a petticoat even. Didn't expect such a find! And caged shoes are the best!
